StageBook is operated by WideOcean Limited, a company registered in England and Wales. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the StageBook application and website.

1. Information We Collect

Registration information: When you create a StageBook account, we collect your name and email address.

Application data: Songs, setlists, gig details, venue information, band details, notes, and settings you create within the app.

Payment information: If you subscribe to a paid tier, payment is processed by our third-party payment providers (Stripe, Apple, or Google). We do not store your credit card details. We receive confirmation of your subscription status from RevenueCat, our subscription management provider.

Device information: We may collect basic device information such as operating system and app version for the purpose of delivering updates and providing support.

2. How Your Data Is Stored

Free and Pro tiers (local-only): All your application data (songs, setlists, gigs, etc.) is stored locally on your device using browser storage (localStorage). This data never leaves your device. We do not have access to it, and we cannot recover it if it is lost.

Pro Cloud and Enterprise tiers: Your application data is stored on our servers to enable cross-device synchronisation and cloud backup. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS) and stored securely. A local copy is also kept on your device for offline access.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We only share the minimum information necessary for them to provide their service (e.g., your user ID for subscription management).

5. MIDI Device Access

StageBook can access MIDI devices connected to your computer (e.g., Line 6 Helix, Kemper) via the Web MIDI API. This access is used solely to send MIDI messages (Program Change, Control Change) as configured by you. No MIDI data is transmitted to our servers.

6. Analytics and Tracking

StageBook does not use analytics, tracking, telemetry, or cookies. We do not monitor how you use the app, and we do not collect usage statistics.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except as described in Section 4 (third-party services necessary to operate StageBook) or where required by law.

8. Data Retention

Local-only tiers: Your data exists only on your device. If you uninstall the app or clear your browser data, it is permanently deleted.

Cloud tiers: Your data is retained on our servers for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your data is retained for 30 days after expiry, then permanently deleted. You may request immediate deletion at any time.

10. Children's Privacy

StageBook is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of StageBook after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
